November

Posted by Ty Childers on

Well, I guess you can say we have gone from summer to winter and have missed fall because it was hot and humid and now it is COLD!! No, but seri-ously, fall is a beautiful time of the year. As we have these somewhat warm days and cold nights, it causes the leaves to change colors. So the way it is going right now, the leaves will be changing pretty quickly. I am so thankful for the beauty God lays out before us. My prayer is that I will not take it for granted, but appreciate the opportunity to enjoy His creation and praise Him for it.
November is full of great ministry opportunities because we will be involved in local ministry and some of us will be going to Haiti. Local mission ministry outreach will include having our Harvest Festival on November 17th here
at Fairview Baptist. It is always a great time for us to be a part of reaching our community and showing families that we care about them. Please come and be a part of this evangelistic tool to share Jesus as the community comes to us. November 18th-20th, we will have our Thanksgiving Revival. On Sunday night (18th) and Monday night (19th), Dr. Tom Tucker will be preaching For us. Dr. Tucker is the pastor of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Mill, SC. On Tuesday night (20th), the Southern Gospel group, The Talleys, will be with us in concert. They will bless you as they share the love of Christ through music.
Pray for all of us who are going to Haiti that the Lord would give us traveling grace, protect us all while we are there, and that we will all work together as we seek to honor our Lord. Also pray for us as we travel back home
on the 9th that we will all get back home safely. There are so many needs in Haiti and I know we cannot meet them all, but we can go and work, serve, teach, and preach for God’s glory, which is our heart’s desire and that is why we go. Thank you for your prayers.
