Well here we go right into the month of August and there is no slowing down. July was busy and a blessing and it looks like August will be even more busy and come with more blessings as we continue to serve our wonderful Lord together here at Fairview Baptist Church. I enjoy so much pastoring this great church and having the opportunity to preach God’s Word each and every week right here. Even though the Lord gives me the privilege to preach in other churches, sometimes there is no place I’d rather be than in this precious, loving church. I will never be able to say enough about your servant heart,the way you are willing to take time to serve our wonderful Lord here at Fairview. Vacation Bible School was a tremendous blessing this year to see all of you that had worked all day and came straight here to serve because you care so much about children and youth and you want to see Jesus do a work of grace in their lives. VBS was a great success because of the faithfulness of God’s people willing to work and serve for the glory of God. It is a blessing to have so many people in the church who are willing to give of their time to work and serve like they do, not just at Vacation Bible School, but ins every area of ministry here at Fairview. This month we will bring before you Brother Lee James for the position of Associate Pastor of Family Ministries. Brother Lee will be preaching on August 12th at 6:00 PM and following the service, we will vote on him as the full time Associate Pastor of Family Ministries. I am really looking forward to all of this coming together so we can do even more to reach young families for the glory of God. On August 19th, we will be voting on the teachers,officers, deacons, and budget for the new church year. This is all necessary as we conduct business God’s way here at Fairview. It has been a good church year here at Fairview and I am expecting the Lord to do even more in this new church year, 2018-2019. So, let’s believe that the Lord Jesus will continue to work and do great and mighty woks as we go forward together for His glory, honor, & praise.
