Care Ministry "A" Team of the C.A.R.E. Ministry. will meet Wednesday at 6:00 pm. Room 301 behind Sunday school office We need volunteers on the C.A.R.E. Ministry teams.

WELCOME CENTER: Today at 9:45 AM our Welcome Center will be open and we will be greeting visitors and getting them to the appropriate class as they arrive. Anyone wishing to volunteer to assist in the greeting, please let the Sunday School Director, Assistant, or Secretaries know.
CHILDREN GREETING: Beginning today, Debbie Wall will be greeting our children at 9:45 AM each Sunday morning. She will provide activities, and on occasion, snacks for the children. This will allow parents to drop off their children in the children’s department and proceed to their class on time.

SENIOR ADULTS-All senior adults they would be interested in going to dinner and to a concert by Guy Penrod on December 2, 2010 at White Oak Conference Center please sign up on the sheet in the hall or out front. For additional information please see one of the Adult Committee members.
CLASS RELOCATION: Remember that the following classes have moved: Young Married (from Room 405 to Room 502); Youth Grades 9-12 (from Room 502 to Room 405); Singles 18-30 (from Room 107 to Room 406)
TEACHER APPRECIATION/SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY: Teachers and Assistants, thank you for your dedication and service to HIS Sunday School. Fairview is blessed to have excellent teachers and assistants who prepare and present the lesson faithfully week in and week out. Also, thank you secretaries and Assistant Director for your faithful service to HIS Sunday School Ministry. DEACON MEETING: There will be a Deacon’s Meeting tonight at 5:40 PM
DEACON ORDINATION: Tonight, David Humphries and Wayne Tipton will be ordained as Deacons of our church. Please pray for them as the serve here at Fairview.
NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL REPORTING PROCEDURES: Today we will begin using the new Sunday School Reporting process. We have purchased the attendance tracking module for our Shelby System. Instructions are included in the new report envelope. If secretaries have any questions, please bring your report to the Church Office and we will assist you. This will greatly enhance our record keeping and support our care ministry efforts. Thank you for helping make this a very important change to our record keeping system.THANK YOU: Thanks so much for all of the prayers, cards, calls, and visits during my stay in the hospital. = Ray Hutchins
WORLD HUNGER BANKS: Today, the World Hunger banks will be passed out. We ask that you get only one per family unit and that each time your family sits down for a meal, give an offering to the bank, and pray for those who do not have food to eat. The banks will be collected on October 10th, World Hunger Day.
STATE MISSIONS: The 2010 Season of Prayer for State Missions is September 12th-19th. The theme, “Opportunity….Respond,” is based on Matthew 25:35-40 and will focus on School Partnerships, Prison Ministry at the Department of Juvenile Justice, Burmese Refugees, and Real Life Ministries. The Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions will be collected on September 26th.
CHILDREN’S COMMITTEE: There will be a Children’s Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:30 PM in the fellowship building. Upcoming events will be discussed.
DISCIPLESHIP CLASS: Discipleship training is moving to the Sunday School hour. We have a sign up sheet on the table in the back hall for those who are interested in the class. This will be a 7 week course taught by Dennis Hall in Room 104. We need a minimum of 6 but no more than 12 participants for this class. Once enough people have signed up, a schedule will be announced. There will be a continual accepting of names for participation and when one course is complete, a new one will begin. We hope that all will find time to participate in this training.
ITEMS TO BE GIVEN AWAY; Please see someone on the Building & Grounds Committee if you are interested in having any of these items that have been stored in the bus garage: 4 can lights, 16 hanging lights, 2 long pews, 1 short pew, and 28 choir chairs.
