December 2017

Man, as the song goes, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” It is also the busiest time of the year! It is also a time to rejoice because Christ, the Savior, was born of the virgin Mary. Thank God for His birth, because if it had not been for His birth, there would be no cross and empty tomb! BUT because He came and died and rose from the dead, we have hope and those who have not been saved have hope if they will only believe and trust Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

December is also a very special time for me because on Sunday, December 3rd, I will celebrate 10 years as your pastor here at Fairview Baptist Church. I am so blessed and I know I can say the same for Jan.

It really has been a blessing to see the church grow and go forward as she has. I know with all my heart there is no way that we would be ab le to say these wonderful things about the church without the support of the church. The support you have shown Jan and myself is beyond words and all the growth both spiritually and numerically has been a joint effort because we have all worked together these past 10 years. I pray as we continue to go forward, we will see more and more people come to know Jesus as their

Lord and Savior and that people and families will continue to join this wonderful and blessed fellowship.

I hope you are planning to be with us for our Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 10th in the Family Life Center. It is always a great time!! Also be praying for and anticipating the Children’s Musical on the night of December 10th. I am so proud of our children.

On Sunday, December 17th,our adult choir will be doing their Christmas Cantata during the morning service. Then, for the evening service we will be in the Family Life Center for  our Christmas Play. After the play, fruit bags will be given out.

On Sunday, December 24th, we will have a 9:30 morning worship service and that evening at 5:00 pm, we will have our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

Please plan to come and bring family and friends with you! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!!

Merry Christmas!! Preacher Ty
